London-listed games developer Gaming Realms has signed a three-year sublicensing agreement with SG Digital for the rights to develop a new Slingo MONOPOLY game.

Gaming Realms will develop and publish the new game format, which is set to launch in early 2019 across the supplier’s existing Slingo B2C and B2B channels, as well as third-party sites.

“Being given the opportunity to develop a game using the world-renowned MONOPOLY brand is a really exciting moment for Gaming Realms,” said chief executive Patrick Southon. “We continuously look to develop new concepts and offer players an expansive and engaging range of games and believe that Slingo MONOPOLY will offer just that.

“We are now focused on the development of the game and look forward to announcing the worldwide launch early this year.”

SG Digital chief creative officer Tom Wood added: “The timeless MONOPOLY brand has proven immensely successful in the online space, and we are delighted to partner with Gaming Realms on this innovative new spin on the classic board game.”

Shares in Gaming Realms plc (AIM:GMR) were trading down 2.44 per cent at 4.80 pence per share in London Wednesday, while shares in Scientific Games Corporation (NSQ:SGMS) closed in New York Thursday at $20.08 per share, a gain of 2.14 per cent on the previous close.
