Pariplay’s Xi You Ji

Pariplay is transporting players back to 16th century China with its latest slot release Xi You Ji.

The five-reel, 25-line slot allows players to follow in the footsteps of Xuanzang, a Tang dynasty Buddhist monk who explored the western regions of Asia in the 16th century.

A three-time scroll symbol triggers the Sacred Journey bonus where players can collect multipliers and Xuanzang’s three disciples – Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing – for the chance to win the big prize of a 1,000x multiplier.

In addition, players can enjoy the Lantern Bonus game by filling them up to be awarded sticky wilds, a chance at 10, 15 or 20 free spins, cash prizes and up-to 12x instant prize multipliers, together with the chance to spin the Jackpot wheel and win one of the five available jackpots worth between 50x and 1,000x multipliers.

“In developing the gaming features for this title, we made sure to include elements that allow for extra winning potential to maximise player engagement,” said Pariplay commercial and marketing director Richard Mintz.

“Xi You Ji recounts one of four of the greatest novels in Chinese literature, so it was important for us to accurately pay homage to the timeless story with incredible visuals that will keep customers returning to the game time and time again.”

Yggdrasil’s Cazino Cosmos

Yggdrasil is taking players on an intergalactic voyage with the launch of its latest slot Cazino Cosmos.

The sequel to the supplier’s popular Cazino Zeppelin game, Cazino Cosmos features futuristic reels, as well as the casino’s entertaining clientele. Players can access one of six different bonus games; one regular Free Spins mode or five Collectible Free Spins modes, each of which offer a unique bonus feature.

The Free Spins mode’s main feature is sticky wilds, which sees all wilds that hit the reels during Free Spins stay there until the end of the Free Spins round. Players can access the regular Free Spins Mode by hitting three to five scatters to get 10 to 20 Free Spins.

Five Collectible Free Spins modes can be accessed by hitting special wilds in base play. Each reel has a separate counter, gathering five special wilds fills the collection and starts one of the Collectible Free Spins. Each of these starts a Free Spins round with a unique extra feature, which can be either extra wilds or free spins, stacked wilds, wild nudge or high pays transforming into wilds.

“The Cazino Cozmos launch was always going to be special for me, as it’s a sequel to Cazino Zeppelin – one of my personal favourites and the most successful game during Yggdrasil's first year of operations,” said Yggdrasil head of slots Jonas Strandman.

“We’ve taken the best elements from the original game and added multiple new bonus features, taking the already great win potential from sticky wilds and free spins to stratospheric heights. With Cazino Cozmos players can win more than 10,000 times their bet size, more than any other previous Yggdrasil game.”

Blueprint Gaming’s Ted

Blueprint Gaming has launched an adapted version of its Ted-branded slot game, which was based on the 2012 American comedy film.

The latest addition to its Pub Fruit Series, Blueprint’s new slot game sees the return of the mischievous talking teddy bear, with the gameplay transformed into the style of the popular fruit machine format.

The 5x3 slot features traditional AWP machine features and 16 bonus games, including two feature boards and the Super Shot Zone, where users can multiply the cash pot value. Those lucky enough to reach Ted’s Big Money round have the chance to win up to 1000x the bet.

Under license from MRC II Distribution Company, the game is available in full portrait mode and incorporates responsive functionality to give users the full fruit machine experience. It is the latest title to join Blueprint’s Pub Fruit Series following the release of Deal or No Deal – The Perfect Play.

“We’re thrilled to be reunited with our favourite thunder buddy and deliver another exciting new addition to our Pub Fruit Series,” said Blueprint Gaming director of marketing and relationships Jo Purvis.

“The original slot game featuring the beer-swigging teddy bear was a massive hit with operators and players alike. It made strategic sense for us adapt the gameplay into the pub fruit machine concept that will help Ted appeal to a wider audience.”

NetEnt’s Strolling Staxx: Cubic Fruits

NetEnt has rolled out the sequel to its popular Neon Staxx and Butterfly Staxx slot games with the launch of Strolling Staxx: Cubic Fruits.

The 5-reel, 3-row slot is all about Colossal symbols, and any symbol can appear as a Colossal or a stack and activate the Strolling Staxx Re-Spins. In addition, activating the Bonus Bet grants players the extra chance to land more Colossal symbols on the reels for more Strolling Staxx Re-Spins.

“With its bright and playful fruity cubes, Strolling Staxx is here to inject a blast of colour into the middle of winter,” said NetEnt director of game products Bryan Upton. “Boxes of fun await in the latest NetEnt adventure especially for our huge recreational player base.”

Strolling Staxx is NetEnt’s second game launch in January, following the release of Turn Your Fortune.

NetEnt has committed to increasing its studio output, with up to 35 new in-house and branded games planned for production and distribution this year.

Chance Interactive’s Buster Hammer Carnival

Chance Interactive has released the first new game from its revamped portfolio with the launch of Buster Hammer Carnival.

The new game from the Sydney-based independent game studio initially went live on LeoVegas via SG Digital’s OGS platform earlier this month. The game includes multiple themes which will auto-update to suit the season: Chinese New Year, St Patricks Day, Christmas and Halloween.

The game offers 32,768 ways to win in the 5x8 configuration bonus round, with a base game ante-bet opportunity to modify reels for additional win opportunities.

The game is the first release for the studio after Scott Smith and David Johnson joined the supplier last year.

“We were proud to launch our first game of this new era for Chance Interactive to our partners at LeoVegas and appreciate the trust they have shown in our game development,” said Johnson, Chance Interactive’s chief commercial officer.

“We’re now excited to release Buster Hammer Carnival to the wider audience via OGS where we have committed launches from many of the leading regulated casino operators. In turn we commit to our partners to deliver games of the highest possible quality supported by all manner of campaign and marketing opportunities in the truest sense of partnership.”

The deal will see 1xBet integrate a wide selection of Patagonia’s video bingo games onto its platform, including Pachinko 3D, Farm Bingo, Candy Bingo and Goal Bingo.

A spokesperson for 1xBet commented: “We're happy to have Patagonia’s video bingos in our family as our clients deserve the very best content. We're looking forward to a fruitful partnership.”

Red Rake Gaming’s Tiger and Dragon

Red Rake Gaming has released a new Asian-themed slot game Tiger and Dragon.

The 6x10 reel slot sees players challenge a powerful white tiger and a fearsome dragon with awarded symbols shifting down following each spin, triggering a re-spin and giving way to new symbols.

The game includes a side panel featuring the BONUS word, which leads to a free spins phase. The panel is activated letter by letter with each winning spin, and adds free spins if the player achieves five or more re-spins in the same spin. If five connected re-spins are not achieved, the panel resets to zero and the player starts over again.

The climax of the game is the free spins phase where players can win endless multipliers that increase with each re-spin. If the free spins phase total prize is lower than x10, the player gets six additional spins.

Non-winning spins also receive prizes, accumulated as a percentage that grows in the additional side panel, activating the Tiger and Dragon Roulette Minigame. This sees players choose between the tiger and the dragon and, if they choose correctly, the resulting multiplier is added and allows wins up to x100.

GameArt / SoftGamings

GameArt has signed a new deal to provide its portfolio of content to casino platform provider and games aggregator SoftGamings.

The integration will see the supplier provide over 50 video slots to SoftGamings' platform.

“We are thrilled that so many new players around the world will be able to experience the excitement of the GameArt range through our new partnership with SoftGamings," said GameArt CEO Maja Lozej. "To be working with a provider that counts so many quality casino operators as its clients is a real achievement, reflecting the hard work and commitment of everyone in our team.

“We are looking forward to a long and productive relationship with SoftGamings, and feel confident to be working with a company that shares our commitment to delivering the very best games.”

Betsoft Gaming’s Faerie Spells

Betsoft Gaming has expanded its portfolio with the launch of Faerie Spells.

In the fairytale-themed slot, a royal family of Faeries rule over woodland spirits and hold the keys to a hidden workshop where potent potions can award players big wins.

Powered by Betsoft’s proprietary TRAIL SYSTEM, Faerie Spells is centred around its free spins bonus game. Despite the Faerie Queen’s micro-scale, her workshop holds the keys to the jackpots that are shared between this game and others in the Betsoft portfolio.

When three or more Queen symbols appear on-screen at once, players are led into the royal laboratory, where tubes and vials have been set up to collect ingredients as they cascade down from the top of the screen in magical showers. Seated at the Faerie Queen’s workbench for up to 25 free spins, players collect droplets that contribute to one of four-tiered potion recipes: Riches, Wealth, Luxury, and Plenty.

“Faerie Spells is a distinctive game in many ways,” said Betsoft marketing director Annamaria Anastasi. “Unlike other fairytale slots, which focus on the lighter side, Faerie Spells is true to the original intent of these kinds of fables.

“We wanted to transport players to a world of darkness and mystery, immersing them in the superstitions and traditions that underpin some of the richest traditional stories in every culture. At the same time, we also set out to solidify Betsoft’s position at the cutting edge of innovation in iGaming, with tiered, progressive jackpots shared between different titles, and a standard of artwork, audio, gameplay and presentation that continues to redefine slot gaming.”
