Isle of Man-based iGaming supplier Microgaming has paid out €13.3m to a player on Zodiac Casino via its Mega Moolah progressive jackpot.

The huge win takes Microgaming's payouts through its progressive jackpot network to more than €1bn to date, with the latest winner becoming the 68th millionaire created by the supplier.

It is the third largest payout on Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network following the €18.9m paid last September and the €17.9m win that earned Microgaming a Guinness World Records title in 2015.

“What an astonishing milestone for Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network,” said John Coleman, chief executive of Microgaming. “We are incredibly proud to see total payouts exceed the €1bn mark – congratulations to all the lucky Mega jackpot winners who have been part of this remarkable story.

“The network has been awarding life-changing wins since 1999, including thousands of five and six-figure sums, and we look forward to building on this remarkable success in the future with the development of even more innovative and rewarding gameplay experiences for players.”

“Congratulations to Zodiac Casino and the lucky winner on this truly life-changing win,” added Microgaming games publisher David Reynolds. “Mega Moolah has once again delivered an amazing payout following months of anticipation.

“It was remarkable to see the jackpot ticker rise at such a phenomenal rate in recent weeks, and we are thrilled that this massive win has taken total payouts on the network beyond the €1bn mark.”
