New York-listed supplier Scientific Games has expanded its partnership with developer Big Time Gaming.
The expanded partnership will see Big Time Gaming’s (BTG) Megaways mechanic, a random reel modifier system that sees any given spin produce a different number of symbols across the reels, integrated into Scientific Games expansive games portfolio.
The reel modifier is already available through Scientific Games’ recently launched Medusa Megaways, with the title among the company’s top performing games since its release in late April.
This will be followed by the release of Raging Rhino Megaways in June and Rainbow Riches Megaways in July, offering a new take on two player-favorite slot themes by allowing players to experience endless possible game scenarios with every spin.
“This deal is a great reflection of our truly open platform, Open Gaming System (OGS), and our long-standing relationship with Big Time Gaming,” said Dylan Slaney, SVP Casino at SG Digital. “We are thrilled to license Megaways - making this feature available on Medusa Megaways and many more titles to come will fuel future success for SG Digital and BTG. This is a huge deal for both parties, and we are really excited to see how Medusa Megaways is received by casino managers and players alike.”
Nik Robinson, chief executive of Big Time Gaming, commented: “We have a great relationship in place with Scientific Games’ Digital group, so licensing Megaways was a natural extension of our long-term plans to bring Megaways to more players than ever.”
