Playtech’s Space Digger

Playtech has launched a new intergalactic-themed slot game with a built-in Game Modifier feature to customise play for selected players.

Space Digger was developed by Playtech’s Origins studio and features an unlockable special feature which licensees can choose to offer to selected player clusters, or individual players.

The game features a stacked wild symbol that can stand in for any other symbol, except the bonus symbol, to create the best possible winning combination. Using the Game Modifier, licensees can offer players an additional stacked wild during the Free Spins bonus round for even greater win potential.

Utilising Playtech’s Engagement 360 tool, licensees can also deliver modifier campaigns at key points in the player journey, including via in-game messaging.

Space Digger is the first in a planned series of games developed specifically with this technology, and follows a successful pilot with the highly popular Justice League slot late last year.

“Playtech’s core objective is to lead the way on innovation in the gambling industry, from both a technological and marketing perspective,” said Playtech director of casino James Frendo. “Game Modifiers are a unique proposition in the current market, offering our licensees an easy and effective way to differentiate their offering and boost player engagement.

“Several of our customers have already run very successful Game Modifiers campaigns with Justice League, so we’re confident they will welcome the chance to do so again using our first game purpose-built for this feature, with more to come later this year. With an improved RTP on offer via the modifier, Space Digger presents a truly compelling proposition as a marketing tool and for players looking for something extra.”

Yggdrasil’s Trolls Bridge 2

Yggdrasil has released a feature-packed slot sequel to its successful Trolls Bridge slot game.

Created exclusively for Betsson Group, the base game for Trolls Bridge 2 sees three scatters drop the drawbridge and reveal the Pick & Click gate, which opens onto the Free Spins dungeon.

Other features include the Bonus Cauldron that can drop at any moment, bringing Free Spins or coins. When a Flaming Boulder is flung at the reels, multiplier rewards of up to five times are awarded. Players may also encounter a Colossal Troll which breaks through two reels.

“Trolls Bridge was remarkably successful for Betsson, and later across our entire network, with tons of features and a theme that really resonated with players,” said Yggdrasil senior product strategist Jonas Strandman. “It came about with a combination of Betsson’s top-notch ideas and Yggdrasil's tight execution. The collaboration for Trolls Bridge 2 was no different – and the result is nothing short of mind-blowing.”

Microgaming’s Sherlock of London

Microgaming has released Sherlock of London, the latest online slot to be developed exclusively by game studio Rabcat.

The five-by-three reel, 25-payline slot takes players through the sinister smog of old London, with the legendary sleuth and his trusty companion Watson hot on the trail of big wins.

Pursuing the city’s most wanted across the metropolis, the daring duo are ably assisted in the base game by a line-up of connecting wilds, double wins and bonus spins.

Landing more than one wild symbol on the reels will connect all wild symbols together and transform all other symbols on the path into connecting wilds. Should two wilds appear adjacently, they will merge to activate the double win feature, causing all line wins from that spin to be doubled.

Holmes and Watson up the ante in the game’s free spins bonus round, appearing as expanding wilds and extra wilds. An initial 10 free spins are awarded by landing three or more scatter symbols in the base game.

“Sherlock of London provides a slot experience with wild features that heighten the action in both the base game and free spins,” said Microgaming director of global operations James Buchanan. “The mysterious atmosphere and thrilling adventures are well represented here, with excellent artwork and an evocative soundtrack.”

Rabcat CEO Thomas Schleischitz commented: “We are delighted to bring Sherlock of London to Microgaming’s award-winning portfolio. Our team have had a brilliant time pulling together the murky, fog-filled world of criminal rogues and sleuthing geniuses, and we are confident that players will have as much fun exploring the game as we’ve had creating it.”

Ezugi’s Andar Bahar

Evolution Gaming-owned Ezugi is enhancing its offering with the upcoming launch of popular Indian card game Andar Bahar.

Andar Bahar sees the dealer produce the first card as a Joker and then deal a single card to each side of the table (Andar and Bahar) until a card with the same value is drawn on one of the sides.

The opening player for the round is able to place a bet on whether the Joker card will land on Andar or on Bahar side first, where only the card value is important. Once a card with the same value as a Joker card is drawn on Andar or on Bahar the round will conclude.

The game also includes a side bet feature where players have the chance to predict how many cards will be dealt in a round until the Joker hits Andar or Bahar. In-play graphics display statistics on Andar or Bahar results from 100 previous rounds to better inform player decisions.

“Andar Bahar is incredibly popular among the meteoric Indian market and we’re sure that will be shared around the globe,” said Ezugi head of games Lionel Dardic. “Our state-of-the-art live studio delivers an unrivalled immersive experience for players, who will also be able to enjoy a modern twist through our side bet feature.”
