Casino games developer 1X2 Network has signed an agreement to develop new slot games featuring Big Time Gaming’s popular Megaways mechanic.

The deal will allow the supplier’s Iron Dog Studio to combine the Megaways mechanic with its popular slot games, with the first slot to be based on a new pirate theme and set to hit the market during the final quarter of this year. Further Iron Dog Megaways titles will be rolled out in the future.

“Megaways has really taken the online slot market by storm and we are really excited about combining the innovative mechanic with our own unique approach to slot development,” said 1X2 Network chief commercial officer Kevin Reid. “Iron Dog Studio has already built a formidable reputation for designing and developing slots that deliver anticipation and thrills and now they will also be able to deliver more ways to win than ever before – a highly successful combination, for sure.”

Iron Dog Studio becomes the latest supplier to have licensed Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic, following in the footsteps of Blueprint Gaming, Red Tiger, Relax Gaming and iSoftBet among others.

“Megaways is a break-through system and it’s great to see so many suppliers wanting to license the brand,” said Big Time Gaming CEO Nik Robinson. “We are really looking forward to seeing how Iron Dog use Megaways. They have an incredible team and I know they will add a new dimension to the format, which will excite slots fans around the world.”
