PokerStars announced Wednesday that it has become fully licensed in Belgium, bringing the total number of Belgian licensed online gaming sites to eight, while 10 other operators were blacklisted by the gaming authority for targeting the market without a licence.

PokerStars had received temporary authorisation in the first half of 2011 to operate in Belgium during the country’s ‘test period’ for online gaming, but has now become officially recognised with a full license from the Belgian Gaming Commission.
