UK bookmaker William Hill has exercised its call option to acquire Sportingbet’s Spanish-facing Miapuesta.es business, which it will operate under the company’s WilliamHill.es brand.
The move was described by a company spokesperson as reinforcing William Hill’s Spanish strategy, who added that it “positions [the operator] as one of the leading online bookmakers in the country.”
