UK-based Global Sports Integrity (GSI) has signed a two-year agreement with the governing body for rugby union in Australia, under which it will monitor sports betting websites for any irregular betting patterns on Super Rugby matches and Tests involving the Qantas Wallabies.

Australian Rugby Union (ARU) said that the deal was a “ground-breaking” move for an Australian sport, with GSI brought in to ensure the integrity of rugby in Australia is maintained by monitoring betting markets from over one hundred bookmakers in the UK, Australia and around the world.
