International bookmaker Stanleybet’s long running legal battle with Italian authorities shows no sign of ending, with the company this week appealing to the European Commission to take appropriate action against Italy’s alleged violation of EU law.

Stanleybet said it lodged the complaint with the European Commission in order to end Italy’s persistent breach of EU laws concerning gambling and apparent disregard for numerous European Court of Justice (ECJ) rulings.
