Former Nevada Gaming Control Board member Randall Sayre despairs as his home state struggles to keep up with New Jersey
There is little doubt this Letter From America will be viewed by Nevada politicians as overly critical of a system they have long praised as one that emerging jurisdictions strive to emulate. It is also anticipated that the ‘big box’ casinos, which are committed to entering the iGaming space, and stand to gain market edge by peddling exclusionary tactics, will find it offensive. At issue is who, at the end of the day, will shape a structure allowing for commercial interests to compete in a vibrant, safe market. I’m hoping it’s those we elect and appoint to look out for the best interests of citizens, patrons and economic viability.
