The chief executive of the Baden-Württemburg State Lottery has joined the chorus of disapproval at the failure to issue a single online sports betting licence in Germany, almost 14 months after enactment of the revised State Treaty on Gaming.

A legal source confirmed to Gaming Intelligence that many applicants had expected the Hesse Ministry of Interior and Sport (HMDIS) to begin issuing licences to operators in October, but that the process may yet be pushed back again.
