Severe. Disastrous. Unworkable. Those are the words used by the Democratic Governors Association to describe proposed federal legislation that would prohibit all forms of internet gaming in the United States.

In a letter sent Wednesday to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Speaker of the House John Boehner, and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic Governors Association (DGA) expresses its strong opposition to federal attempts to ban online gaming.

The letter is in response to the proposed Internet Gambling Control Act of 2014, which is expected to be introduced today by South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham and Representative Jason Chaffetz.
