The head of the German Lotto and Toto Block (DLTB) has reiterated his support for the country’s State Treaty on Gambling following the recent European Court of Justice ruling that guaranteed the legality of Schleswig-Holstein’s licensing system.

Speaking at the Sportwetten & Glücksspiel 2014 conference in Frankfurt am Main, DLTB chief Michael Burkert, who also serves as managing director of the Saarland Sporttoto GmbH, said that while the ruling was seemingly in favour of Schleswig-Holstein it also guaranteed the status of the State Treaty.
