New York Assemblyman J Gary Pretlow has hit out at proposals to pass legislation that would ban online gaming across the US, and called on Congress to “focus on the things that will help states.”

Assemblyman Pretlow, who serves as chairman of the New York State Assembly Racing and Wagering Committee, said that every states deserved to be able to determine what gaming exists with its borders and that the government should instead find ways to promote economic growth and protect consumers.
