The First Civil Division of the German Supreme Court (Bundesgerichthof) is to rule on the legality of the country’s State Treaty on Gambling in parallel proceedings concerning private gaming and betting operators.

The Bundesgerichthof will hold a hearing on November 12th that will assess whether the sports betting licensing regime under the revised State Treaty on Gambling can be considered compatible with European Union law.
