Malta-licensed betting operator RaceBets International Gaming has secured a licence to take bets on horse racing online in Germany, becoming the first operator in the market to be certified.

RaceBets has been active in Germany since it was founded in 2005 and describes itself as the country’s largest bookmaker. While two licences have been issued previously, only one permitted the holder to take bets online.
