The Australian state of New South Wales (NSW) is to introduce what it claims to be the most advanced gambling harm minimisation controls of any jurisdiction, with a new system allowing problem gamblers to ban themselves from a range of venues with the click of a button.

ClubsNSW, the industry body for clubs in the state, and the NSW branch of the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) have agreed a partnership that will see an online, multi-venue self-exclusion system rolled out to cover 1,472 pub and hotel outlets, alongside the 1,375 clubs already covered by the system.
