The Greater Western Sydney Giants, the Australian rules football club, has confirmed that its recruiting assistant has resigned after breaching Australian Football League (AFL) rules in relation to betting on matches.

Brodie was found guilty of placing an AUD$100 multi-bet on five matches in round 19 of the AFL, including the Giants’ game against Essendon.
