Australian female cricketer Angela Reakes has been given a two-year suspended sentence after being found guilty of placing bets totaling AUD$9 (€5.94) on this year’s ICC Cricket World Cup final.

Cricket Australia, the governing body for professional and amateur cricket in Australia, charged the 24-year-old, who plays for ACT Meteors and Sydney Sixers, with breaching its Anti-Corruption Code and has imposed a two-year suspended sentence.
