Gaming software supplier Contagious Gaming will be able to offer casino, sports betting and virtual sports products in the UK after securing additional licences from the UK Gambling Commission.

Contagious Gaming already held licences to provide facilities for pool betting and the manufacture, supply, installation and adaptation of gambling software.

It has now expanded its combined remote operating licence, via its wholly owned Contagious Sports Ltd subsidiary, to offer betting on real events, provide facilities for virtual sports betting and operate a casino.

In recent months the company has significantly strengthened its product range, with the roll-out of an updated version of its core Goal Time products imminent.

Through the acquisition of German sportsbook software supplier Digitote, it now has access to the xTurf wagering platform, and has struck a deal with Sportradar to take delivery of a range of virtual sports products.

“Securing the expanded gaming licence is an important step for the company as it allows us to maximize and expand our technology from our existing pool betting offering by adding additional gaming opportunities,” Contagious chief executive officer Peter Glancy commented.

“[It] allows the company to deploy and operate a comprehensive set of on-line gambling products, including virtual sports, casino and live-in-play sports book on a white-label and direct basis,” he added.

Shares in Contagious Gaming Inc (Co.Data) (CNS:TSV) were significantly boosted by the licence award, closing up 31.82 per cent at CAD$0.14 per share in tradingToronto Tuesday.
