Irish snooker player hit with 15-month ban over corruption charges

Irish professional snooker player Leo Fernandez has been banned from the sport for 15 months after admitting to a betting-related corruption charge.

Fernandez was found to have deliberately played a foul shot during a match at the World Championship Qualifiers in Sheffield on April 6th, so that others could make money through betting.
