The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has dismissed an appeal by Albanian football club Sportiv Skenderbeu to overturn a ban imposed by UEFA, excluding it from next season’s Champions League due to concerns over match-fixing.

Last month the UEFA Appeals Body declared the Albanian league champions ineligible to participate in the second qualifying round of the 2016/17 Champions League competition, following an investigation into match-fixing at European and domestic level.
