Gaming suppliers International Game Technology (IGT) and Aristocrat Leisure have signed a cross-licensing agreement to end an ongoing legal dispute over the intellectual property rights for game features and system patents used in each company’s slot machines.

The agreement has been signed following a complaint filed by IGT in March last year, and following a number of legal disputes between the two businesses dating back to 2006.

The dispute from March last year saw IGT file a complaint with the US District Court of Nevada alleging that Aristocrat’s slot machines infringed ten of IGT’s patents.
