Australia's Federal Court has awarded Paddy Power's Sportsbet more than AUD$2m after ruling that the refunding of race fees charged by Racing NSW to the state's largest betting operator, TAB Limited, discriminated against interstate bookmakers such as Sportsbet, licensed in the Northern Territory.

The case relates to the imposing of race fees worth 1.5 per cent of turnover by Racing NSW (RNSW) and Harness Racing NSW (HRNSW), respectively the regulators of thoroughbred and harness racing in the state.
