With Mississippi's temporary daily fantasy sports legislation due to expire on July 1st this year, Representative Richard Bennett has introduced new proposals for a permanent regulatory framework for such contests.

A bill to regulate DFS passed the state legislature in May last year, when SB2541 was signed into law by state governor Phil Bryant. However the regulations were only put in place for one year, until July 1st 2017, to give Mississippi lawmakers time to introduce long-term controls.
