Playtech has agreed a new partnership with data analytics specialist Featurespace to enhance the fraud detection capabilities available to players via its player management system.

The deal will see Featurespace's real-time, machine learning platform ARIC integrated into the supplier's player management system. ARIC detects fraud and risk anomalies in individual player behaviour, helping operators quickly identify any unusual activity.

This in turn ensures operators can strengthen their risk management and slash fraud losses, helping them increase revenue.

Playtech sees the deal as underlining its commitment to helping customers manage risk and providing best-of-breed gaming products to clients.

"Playtech has a proven track record in delivering the most advanced fraud prevention and risk management software and services to our licensees," the supplier’s chief operating officer Shimon Akad said.

"We are therefore delighted to be partnering with Featurespace in order to offer our licensees access to an additional, sophisticated, best-of-breed fraud prevention solution," he explained. "This arrangement further enhances our commitment to our customers and their players with the best gaming experience in the industry."

Featurespace chief executive Martina King added: "We are proud to partner with Playtech. Both companies are committed to providing innovative solutions to the gaming sector, and this partnership will enable real-time access to an enhanced level of protection for Playtech's customers."

Shares in Playtech plc (Co. Data) (LSE:PTEC) were trading at 897.00 pence per share in London earlier Friday.
