A new bill introduced by Pennsylvania Senator Guy Reschenthaler aims to regulate daily fantasy sports (DFS) in the state, setting out a tax rate of 12 per cent for licensees.

Senator Reschenthaler's SB665 exempts DFS from state gambling laws, and gives the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board responsibility for handling licensing and enforcement.

The bill was previously introduced as SB1324 during the 2015-16 session by Senator Anthony Williams, but failed to pass into law.
