A parliamentary committee report on gaming in the Australian state of Tasmania has recommended a significant reduction in the number of Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs) deployed in the state.

The joint select committee considered evidence from a wide range of individuals, businesses and community groups in Tasmania, many of which called for the removal of EGMs from hotels and clubs, or an outright ban on all EGMs.
