Sweden’s consumer agency Konsumentverket has completed an investigation into gambling advertising, concluding that many operators are failing to adhere to the principle of moderate marketing in the recently regulated market.
Following a two-month investigation into various media, the consumer agency said that many operators are failing to comply with market regulations by conducting misleading advertising, with the agency suggesting that even calls to action such as “Bet now” represent an unacceptable inducement to gamble.
