Lawmakers in West Virginia have introduced another piece of legislation to legalise sports betting in the state.
The latest bill was introduced Monday by Senator Ryan Ferns and aims to give the West Virginia Lottery Commission responsibility for regulating legal wagering, subject to federal law.
SB 415, or the West Virginia Sports Wagering Act, would legalise single event betting on professional and collegiate sports at the state's five existing gaming facilities.
