Louisiana Senator Daniel Martiny has introduced a bill to legalise and regulate online gaming in the state.
Martiny's bill would give each of Louisiana's 64 parishes the authority to legalise the activity, subject to approval by voters at a referendum.
The parish elections would ask voters: "Shall internet gaming be allowed to be conducted within the parish of ______?" Yes/No.
The bill defines internet gaming as any game authorised for online play by the Louisiana Gaming Control Board, [...]
