The Spanish government has submitted draft legislation to the European Commission to improve the identity verification systems for gambling participants, as well as amending the reporting process for the information monitoring system used by iGaming operators.

Five years after the regulation of the Spanish iGaming market, the country's gambling regulator Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ) said the new verification system will provide a higher level of security and monitoring of the identity verification processes for gambling participants.
