Lawmakers and gambling regulators in New York are pushing ahead with efforts to launch regulated sports betting, with Senator John Bonacic amending his previously introduced sports betting bill this week, while the state gaming commission confirmed that draft sports betting regulations will soon be available for review.

Senator Bonacic's S7900 was amended Monday to simplify the mobile sports betting registration process by removing the requirement for players to register their mobile wagering accounts in person at a casino or off-track wagering facility.
