The US National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has said that it is focused on the substance of educating and protecting student-athletes from betting related harm, rather than the question of integrity fees, as it launched a new internal expert group to guide its approach to sports betting.

The NCAA has convened the internal team of subject matter experts to explore how best to protect game integrity, monitor betting activity, manage sports data and expand educational efforts following the recent legalisation of sports betting.
