The Netherlands government is moving forward with plans to regulate online gambling with the opening of a public consultation on its new legislation.

The government had planned to enact its proposed Remote Gaming Bill by October 1st and award licences by April 2019, as set out by the country's gambling regulator Kansspelautorieit (KSA) in October last year. 

While the timeline will now be delayed, the government has finally opened a public consultation to gather stakeholder opinions, with the consultation closing on November 6th.
