Scientific Games Corporation has agreed to pay $151.5m after reaching a settlement in its litigation with Shuffle Tech International and other plaintiffs.

The settlement relates to a lawsuit initially brought by SHFL Entertainment, which invented an automatic card shuffler for card tables, and its partners Poydras-Talrick Holdings and Aces Up Gaming.

SHFL, then owned by Bally Technologies and subsequently acquired by Scientific Games, had alleged that Shuffle Tech had violated two of its patents for its automatic shufflers.
