Rhode Island House Republicans have called on Governor Gina Raimondo to seek an advisory opinion from the Rhode Island Supreme Court on the constitutionality of online sports betting.
Tuesday saw the House Republican Caucus call on the House of Representatives, the Senate and the Governor to seek a Supreme Court advisory opinion concerning the legality of HB 5241 and SB 37, which it described as purporting to “authorize online sports betting without first obtaining voter approval”.
