GVC agrees £5.9m settlement with UKGC for historic compliance failings

GVC-owned bookmaker Ladbrokes Coral has been ordered to pay a £5.9m penalty package by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) for past failings in its anti-money laundering and social responsibility controls.

An investigation by the regulator found that between November 2014 and October 2017, Ladbrokes and Coral failed to put in place effective safeguards to prevent consumers from suffering gambling harm and against money laundering.
