Stockholm-listed live casino specialist Evolution Gaming has been granted a license by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB).

The conditional interactive gaming manufacturer license enables Evolution to launch live casino services for clients in Pennsylvania from its planned studio in the state.

Evolution Gaming was the first live casino provider to gain New Jersey preliminary waiver status, and now becomes the first live casino provider to be conditionally licensed in Pennsylvania.

“Demand for our live casino services in the US has been phenomenal,” said Evolution chief business development officer James Stern.

“We are delighted to be further expanding our US operations by opening a standalone studio in Pennsylvania to serve both online operators and land-based casinos in the state. We are looking forward to opening up our world-leading live casino portfolio to operators and players in the state of Pennsylvania.”

He added: “We continue to stay at the forefront — maximising the opportunities in this exciting new market and growing together with our licensees.”

Evolution also plans to double the size of its Atlantic City studio to support continued growth in New Jersey. This expansion will allow additional US licensees to create dedicated tables and environments, as well as expanding the games portfolio.

Shares in Evolution Gaming Group AB (STO:EVO) were trading down 0.24 per cent at SEK204.50 per share in Stockholm Friday morning.
