The city of Sault Ste. Marie in Canada’s Ontario province has formed a digital gaming task force to offer strategic direction and assess opportunities in online gambling, and attract new investment to the industry.

The taskforce has been established by the Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre (SSMIC) and Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corporation (SSMEDC), and will be led by key executives of the province’s lottery and gaming sector alongside representatives of local trade and educational organisations.

It has been tasked with helping the Ontario gambling sector exploit its strengths and assets to develop new projects and bring in new investors for the local online gaming and information and communication technology industries.
