US lotteries and gaming supplier Scientific Games has extended its contract with TIPOS a.s., the operator of the National Lottery of Slovakia, to supply the company with instant games and consulting services.
The new deal runs until January 2015, continuing the relationship between the companies that was first established in 2005. The contract was extended following a competitive procurement process.
TIPOS chairman and general director Ladislav Kriska commented that the relationship with Scientific Games had significantly contributed to the growth of instant lottery products in Slovakia.
“Our work together increased instant game sales more than 35 percent over the last three years,” Kriska said. “We look forward to offering a great entertainment value to players in Slovakia with Scientific Games' superior instant game portfolio.”
“Our selection as the instant game provider for TIPOS a.s. ensures the continuation of innovative game design and instant product portfolio management that have helped drive consecutive years of instant product growth for the National Lottery of Slovakia,” Scientific Games senior vice president of instant products John Schulz said.
“We are delighted to build upon on our success in Slovakia, as we see significant opportunity for instant category growth there and with lotteries across Europe,” Schulz added.
The state-owned TIPOS was established in 1992 and offers a range of instant and draw-based lottery games including Loto, Loto 5 of 35, EuroMillions and Klub Keno, as well as online lottery and iGaming products.
GTECH serves as the operator’s main provider of lottery technology and related services, with a contract running until December 2018.
