Camelot Global Services chief executive Nigel Railton explains why the company’s strategy differs from the likes of GTECH and Scientific Games

Camelot Global Services announced the launch of its new online and mobile platform two weeks ago, in a move that would seem to put it in direct competition with suppliers such as GTECH - its most significant supplier and a former owner - and Intralot and Scientific Games.

Soon-to-be chief executive Nigel Railton is not afraid of this competition - far from it. However, he is approaching the market in a very different manner from GTECH and SciGames, specifically, who are betting the farm on lotto-casino convergence following their acquisitions of casino suppliers IGT and Bally Technologies.
