Chinese lottery suppliers have welcomed a public announcement by eight government authorities in China which they claim outline the government's commitment to promoting legal and licensed participants in the lottery industry, and in particular the importance of an online distribution channel.

The mandate states that all provincial governmental authorities of finance, civil affairs and sports authorities will investigate and sanction unauthorised sales in their respective jurisdictions according to relevant laws and regulations.
