Toronto-listed gaming supplier NYX Gaming Group has been granted associate membership of the European Lotteries (EL), which it says will allow it to further its growth in the lottery segment.

By obtaining the EL membership, NYX will be able to extend its Lottery Gaming System (LGS) to an increased number of member clients.

The supplier said the award was further evidence of NYX's continued focus and growth in the lottery segment.

"We are extremely proud to have been approved for membership by the executive committee and we look forward to providing a valuable contribution to the Association over the coming years,” said NYX Gaming CEO Matt Davey.

"NYX have several existing lottery clients with whom we continue to expand on our product portfolio and partnership together. Having also completed the launch of our new Lottery Gaming System (LGS), NYX further builds on its heritage as a serious player in the lottery market."

NYX was approved as an associate member during the EL’s General Assembly in Oslo earlier this month.

The company is already an existing associate member of the World Lottery Association, adding that this additional membership would allow it to extend its offering to further EL members.

Shares in NYX Gaming Group Ltd (Co. Data) (CVE:NYX) closed at CAD$4.25 per share in Toronto Friday.
