US gaming and lottery supplier Scientific Games Corporation has signed an eight-year contract which will see the company continue to supply its retail lottery technology in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Continuing the pair’s long-term relationship, Scientific Games will supply the state lottery, Verwaltungsgesellschaft Lotto und Toto, with 600 terminals as well as related software and maintenance services until August 12th 2023. The contract also comes with the option for a two-year extension.

The supplier has worked with the Verwaltungsgesellschaft Lotto und Toto since 1997 and has a strong presence in the German market, supplying products to all 16 of the country’s state lotteries.

“Building on nearly two decades of successful partnership with Scientific Games, we are very happy to continue with reliable, next-generation retail terminals for the Lottery's retailers across Mecklenburg-Vorpommern,” the lottery’s managing director Barbara Becker said.

Scientific Games managing director for Germany, Matthias Mueller, said the deal showed that Germany’s major lottery operators saw his company as a key partner.

“We appreciate the continued trust in our technology products and services and look forward to delivering new, upgraded terminals with easy-to-use application software and to our next decade of collaboration with the Lottery of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern,” Mueller said.
