US gaming and lottery supplier International Game Technology (IGT) has developed new mobile player convenience apps for the Rhode Island Lottery and the Tennessee Lottery.
The apps were created by the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, IGT Global Solutions (formerly GTECH), and have been individually branded for the lotteries.
The apps provide players with quick access to real-time lottery data including jackpot information, winning numbers, lottery retailer locations, instant games information, and details related to responsible gaming.
"As consumers' reliance on their mobile devices continues to grow, so does IGT's commitment to innovation in the mobile space," said Michael Chambrello, CEO of North America Lottery for IGT. "IGT is committed to ensuring that our customers have access to the most advanced lottery technologies for their players.
“The Rhode Island Lottery and the Tennessee Lottery Corporation are longtime IGT customers, and we are confident that their evolution in the mobile space with these convenience apps will help them maximize income for their states and enhance funding for good causes."
Gerald Aubin, director of the Rhode Island Lottery, said that the launch of the player convenience app reflects the lottery’s commitment to favourable player experiences that sustainably grow the program.
“This app also helps support our valued retail partners by putting helpful retailer location details and comprehensive Rhode Island Lottery information in the palm of players' hands anytime, anywhere,” he said.
Rebecca Hargrove, Ppresident and CEO of the Tennessee Lottery Corporation, added: "Given the soaring consumer reliance on smartphones for real-time information, we believe that Tennessee Lottery players will embrace all the conveniences of our new mobile app.
"Our player convenience app is an extension of our commitment to strengthening our lottery program and to delivering the very best player experiences at every touch point."
