US gaming and lottery supplier Scientific Games Corporation has announced that its existing contract to provide instant lottery games to Canada’s Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has been extended for three additional years.

SG’s existing five-year contract with the provincial lottery operator has now been extended until November 30th 2018.

OLG is the leading lottery operator in Canada in terms of instant game sales, generating more than CAD$1bn in retail sales last year.

“OLG continues to be a leader in product innovation,” said John Schulz, senior vice president of instant products for Scientific Games Lottery.

“We are delighted to help them deliver the entertaining instant games to their players using insights from our new player segmentation study, a highly-experienced team of game designers, and some of our most innovative new instant game play styles, textures, colors, sizes and packaging.”

Wendy Montgomery, OLG’s vice president lottery marketing and sales, added: “We have a successful working relationship with Scientific Games and look forward to the creativity the company continues to bring to the instant game product category.”

Shares in Scientific Games Corporation (Co. Data) (NASDAQ:SGMS) closed up 1.83 per cent at $8.90 per share in New York Friday.
