A Member of Ontario’s Provincial Parliament (MPP) has accused the government of wasting taxpayers' money after it was revealed that scrapped plans to modernise the province’s lottery have cost CAD$308m.

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedelli of the centre-right Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario has called on the ruling Ontario Liberal Party to "come clean" as to where the money has gone, claiming that his access to the relevant records was denied.
