New York-listed International Game Technology (IGT) has agreed a six-year extension to its long-running partnership with Argentina's Boldt Gaming, which provides lottery products and services to the Buenos Aires Lottery.

The company's IGT Foreign Holdings subsidiary will provide an upgraded lottery central system to Boldt Gaming for deployment with the Instituto Provincial de Loteria y Casinos de la Provincia de Buenos Aires.

The central system will process all draw-based lottery transactions for the Buenos Aires Lottery, with IGT also providing hardware and software support through September 2022.

IGT has been providing lottery products and services to the Buenos Aires Lottery in partnership with Boldt Gaming since 1993.

"IGT is committed to supporting the growth of its customers," said Walter Bugno, IGT CEO, International. "With this extension, we look forward to upgrading the Buenos Aires Lottery's operating system and providing ongoing services necessary to support their next phase of growth."

The upgrade will see the lottery's existing GOLS (Gaming On-Line System) replaced with a new, modern and enhanced solution that includes hardware and software updates.

Shares in International Game Technology plc (Co.Data) (NYQ:IGT) closed down 1.89 per cent at US$25.42 per share in New York Monday.
